Is anything in the old Glenayre/Quintron building in the Schneidman Industrial Park?

Marcel Wagner, president of the Great River Economic Development Foundation, says that building at No. 1 Glenayre Way is owned by and being used by Hollister Whitney.

“Hollister has outgrown its other office space and has moved its engineering group into the Glenayre building,” Wagner said. “They are using the warehouse/manufacturing space for inbound receiving and distribution.”

Movius, an electronics manufacturing firm headquartered in Atlanta that had about 25 employees in Quincy, ceased local operations in that building during the summer of 2011.

Quintron, a maker of paging equipment, started business in Quincy in 1970. It was bought by Glenayre in 1989, and it operated in the Quincy facility before it merged with IP Unity, a California company, in 2007. The company then became Movius in 2008.

What are they doing out on South 36 St? About 3 mi south of Quincy. Next to the Power line? They are doing a lot of earth moving work. Is this a subdivision or a substation for the powerline? I live out that way why wasn’t anyone notified?
