Wreath Laying Ceremony

Members of the Quincy American Legion Post 37 Honor Guard visit with one another while preparing for the start of a wreath laying ceremony at the Quincy National Cemetery, to “Remember the fallen; Honor those who serve; and Teach our children the value of freedom.”  The ceremonies at both the Quincy National Cemetery and the Illinois Veteran’s Home Sunset Cemetery, were conducted in conjunction with the laying of more than 151,000 wreaths on headstones of veterans at Arlington National Cemetery, more than 400 state and national cemeteries nationwide, and 24 cemeteries on foreign soil.
