JWCC’s Back to School BBQ

Bat Stuff?

Summy Tire owner Jeff Carter looks over a vehicle on the back of a semi-trailer brought to his tire store Wednesday morning in Quincy. Terry Woodcock, a Quincy resident with ties to the motion picture industry, was driving the truck to Los Angeles and stopped at Summy to get a flat tire fixed. Due to a confidentiality agreement, Woodcock couldn’t comment on the three vehicles he was hauling, but internet reports suggest they are for the latest “Batman” movie.

Grandview Nursery Fire in Hannibal

Firefighters from several departments were battling a major blaze at Grand View Nursery Saturday evening. Joe Howald, owner of the equipment and parts dealer, called in firefighters when smoke was discovered coming from the shop area as his employees were closing for the night.
