Phil Carlson’s Bio
Phil Carlson joined The Herald-Whig as a staff photographer in 2003, and became a copy editor and page designer in 2005. He was named photo editor in 2007. He earned a bachelor’s degree in art from Truman State University and did post-graduate journalism work at Metro State College in Denver. While in Colorado, he was a photographer with the Greeley Daily Tribune.
