2011-12 SEASON OUTLOOK

Coach:Adam Brumbaugh (11-17 at West Hancock, second season; overall, same).
2010-11 record: 11-17 (4-2 tied for first in the WCC South).
Returning starters: G Jacey Hartweg, 5-5, Sr.; G Kelly Dorothy, 5-6, Sr.; PG Madison Harmon, 5-6, Jr.
Other returning letterwinners: C Abby Gibbs, 6-1, Sr.; C Kyra Koehler, 5-6, Sr.; PG Allison Dewald, 5-1, Soph.; G Haleigh Hammel, 5-5, Soph.; F Taylor Dorch, 5-9, Soph.; F Faith Spory, 5-8, Sr.; G Shelby Koehler, 5-6, Soph.
New faces: F Alexis Dooley, 5-10, Fr.
Key losses: F Jessi Heavin, C Lauren Dorethy.
Outlook: The Titans are faced with a much different situation than they were last season.
West Hancock returns three starters and seven other players who saw playing time last winter. That’s in contrast with last preseason when the Titans had to replace 95 percent of their scoring, including that of all-stater Marley Hall.
Hartweg is the team’s leading returning scorer with 11 ppg.
“Last year, we had no proven players back and it was a brand new system,” Brumabugh said. “We want to build off what we started last year, especially the conference success we had, and contend for a regional championship.”
