Burgtorf opens up advantage over Bailey

Mark Burgtorf has opened the widest lead to date in his fascinating duel with late model rival Lonnie Bailey in the six-man King of the Ring online tournament finals.

Burgtorf showed 41.8 percent of the vote at 12:56 a.m. Thursday, with Bailey checking in atg 35.2 percent.

Hank DeLonjay was third with 9.5 percent. Michael Long, Steve Fraise and Eddie Dieker round out the finals field.

Voting continues through Sunday night.

The month-long event began the first week in February and involved all former Quincy Raceways track champions who had won at least two titles.

Burgtorf has 14 track crowns to his credit, the most of any driver in Bullring history. DeLonjay has 13.

    Not being rude either, but how is it hard to put them in the same category when they both are in the same class, they’ve both won track championships and there both hella drivers and not to mention that they have both been racing for years and years! Just curious what you are meaning.

    This might be rude to some but true is true. If this poll is about driving skill,wins, championships, and having pure racing talent Burgtorf is on a much higher level. Bailey is a good racer tho.. DIRTFAN0F is correct –no comparison. Just think in 37 days we will be watching all of them,eatin dirt and havin FUN.
