Summy Tire and Auto will be the series point fund sponsor this year for the new Wild Thing four-cylinder division at Quincy Raceways.
“We’re expecting this to be a great new class with a lot of cars,” said Carter, whose business had been the longtime sponsor of the late model trophy dash at the track. “This will give them a little extra to shoot for.”
No specifics concerning Summy Tire’s participation have yet been decided.
Both the late model and modified dashes were discontinued after the 2010 season when the Wild Things were added as a permanent part of the 2011 schedule.
The Wild Things mark the second time a four-cylinder series has been tried at the .29-mile track. The Hornets ran in 2006 and 2007.
