  1. Keith Pratt says:

Hey Dirtman! Those look like the track point totals from each track. I believe that these points are based on the best 75% of your feature finishes. Anyone know if they will count all the nonpoint races in these totals? Only 1 month left in the points season and no official standings…. Its too bad that this didn’t work better for the 2 tracks involved. Great idea from Tony and Amy! Hopefully have something like it again next yr

You’re absolutely right. It’s simply the two point totals added together. It’s up to the tracks to determine the 75 percent thing and I have seen nothing concerning that. I’m simply trying to give the fans an idea who the top contenders are and try to emphasize these totals are unofficial.
You are also correct in that it is a GREAT idea, and like you, I hope it is back again in 2012, but there needs to be some sort of regular updates/releases and better overall organization. The first year is always a learning experience, so hopefully in 2012 we’ll see more attention paid to some of the details.

  3. Keith Pratt says:

Lets just say I got bored and was curious what the points actually looked like. I counted only the points races and only feature finishes. This is what I came up with….

    Keith Pratt-300
    Denny W.-297
    Joey Gower-296
    L. Bailey-290
    M. Bailey-289

These obviously aren’t official, but should be right(I hope). I didn’t include Reed or Weisinger because they haven’t raced the 75% at 34 Raceway.

I have no idea who is right and who is wrong … but this is exactly why we need OFFICIAL updates!
