One of the best-looking rides from days gone by belonged to Dick Crane and this black No. 77. (And why did track officials always wear white pants back in those years?)
They were our uniform, way before Winston. I still have mine from around 1976, I don’t think that they fit anymore. I guess I could put them in the Hall of Fame. The best ever is when Albert Scott wore his BVD’s with the red hearts all over them. He always wore a very thin pair of pants, need I say more.
Just a shot in the dark but I would think the pants were a part of the Winston uniform. Not sure you would have to ask Mr. Wright.
