Reddick rolls; Points race tightens

HellTourLogo10HIGHLAND, Ill. — Tyler Reddick, the “California Kid” who raced twice a year ago at Quincy Raceways and now concentrates primarily on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, won the UMP Summer Nationals Hell Tour stop Saturday night at Highland Speedway.

Reddick’s efforts were worth $10,000.

The tour point standings also tightened as leader Ryan Unzicker and runner-up Shann0n Babb both finished behind their closest challengers Brandon Sheppard, Brian Shirley and Bobby Pierce.

Sheppard finished second to Reddick, followed by Shirley and Pierce. Unzicker was sixth and Babb seventh.

Here’s how the points unofficially look going into Sunday night’s race in Haubstatdt, Ind. The tour is off Monday:
