2015 All-Dirt teams: Late models

October 23, 2015 1 Comment

The “Dream Team” was everything it was expected to be.

Late model driver Mark Burgtorf and engine builder Rick Frankel combined their talents in 2015 and produced a track championship, the 16th in Burgtorf’s Quincy Raexcellence-300x300ceways career.

Burgtorf has also secured his second straight and third overall Stevie Driver of the Year award. Burgtorf’s 11 top-three feature finishes were five more than any other driver in the series and punctuated his season-long consistency.

Burgtorf has six All-Dirt selections in the eight-year history of these awards. Accompanying his three Driver of the year honors are three First Row selections.

Justin Reed and Denny Woodworth are this year’s First Row picks. It’s the fourth for Reed, to go with his 2011 Driver of the Year honor and one Second Row selection. Woodworth, a two-time Driver of the year (2013, 2010) now has three First Row selections.

Brian Dively and Keith Pratt are Second Row honorees. It’s the first All-Dirt notice for Dively and the fourth for Pratt, all Second Row selections.

  1. Charlie Bryson says:

Steve maybe you need an engine builder of the year award. Rick Frankel had three cars track champions this year. Mark, Michael, and Joey. Plus many others that were not NO. 1 in their class.
